She Checks In 💗 | You Don’t Have to Understand Every Feeling Right Away

Some days, I know exactly how I feel and what caused it.

Other days, I may feel tired, irritated, emotional, or simply not like myself—and I cannot explain why.

Have you ever had one of those days?

We sometimes put pressure on ourselves to understand every feeling as soon as it shows up. We want to identify the problem, fix it, and move on.

But emotions do not always work that way.

Sometimes a feeling comes from something that just happened. Other times, it may be connected to stress that has been building, a disappointment we have not addressed, a change we are still adjusting to, or simply carrying too much for too long.

We may need time before we understand what is happening within us.

Not having an immediate answer does not mean your feelings are wrong or that you are overreacting. It may simply mean you need a moment to slow down and listen to yourself.

You do not have to solve every emotion today.

Start by acknowledging what is there without judging yourself. You might say, “I do not completely understand what I am feeling, but I know I need to be gentle with myself today.”

Sometimes understanding comes after we give ourselves space—not when we pressure ourselves to figure everything out.

As September comes to an end, remember that checking in with yourself is not about having perfect answers. It is about being honest enough to notice what you are carrying and caring enough to respond with compassion.

Midweek check-in: What feeling have you been trying to fix instead of simply acknowledging?

If you feel comfortable, share your thoughts in the comments.
