Nominate a Caregiver

Help us recognize an unpaid caregiver who dedicates their time and love to caring for someone they love, or whose caregiving journey recently ended following a loved one’s death. Every caregiver deserves to feel seen, valued, and appreciated.

Before You Nominate

Marcellus’ Legacy of Kindness recognizes unpaid caregivers currently supporting loved ones with ongoing care needs and those whose caregiving ended within the six months before nomination because their loved one passed away. Income level is not an eligibility requirement.

Who may be nominated: An unpaid caregiver actively providing personal care, care coordination, transportation, advocacy, household support, or companionship for a loved one; or an unpaid caregiver whose loved one passed away within the six months before nomination.

Please protect their privacy: Do not submit medical records, Social Security numbers, financial documents, detailed diagnoses, or other highly sensitive information. We only need enough information to understand the caregiver’s current season.

Nominations: November 1–30
Review & Selection: December 1–5
Recipient Distribution: December 10–15

How Selection & Notification Work

Selections consider caregiving responsibilities, sacrifices, and circumstances. Financial income is not used to determine whether a caregiver deserves recognition. The number of recipients will be set beginning December 1 based on available program funding. Multiple nominations for the same caregiver do not increase their chances of selection.

Selected caregivers will be contacted by phone/text or email using the information provided on the nomination form. If the nominator asks to be contacted first, Marcellus’ Legacy of Kindness will contact the nominator before reaching out to the caregiver.

We will make up to two contact attempts. Selected recipients have 5 calendar days from the first notification to respond and accept their gift. If we cannot make contact or do not receive a response, an alternate recipient may be selected.

Recipient names will not be publicly shared without permission.

Selected gifts are scheduled for distribution December 10–15, subject to available funds and acceptance. Please do not include highly sensitive medical or financial information.
