She Checks In 💗 | Who Are You Beyond the Roles You Carry?

We carry so many roles as women.

We are mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, friends, caregivers, employees, business owners, and problem-solvers. We spend so much time being what other people need that we may lose touch with the woman underneath all those responsibilities.

I have found myself thinking about this more lately.

Who am I when I am not taking care of something, working on a project, planning an event, or solving someone else’s problem?

That question can be difficult to answer.

Our roles are important, and many of them bring us love, meaning, and purpose. But they are not the only parts of who we are.

We also have our own interests, dreams, needs, fears, and ideas. Some may have been pushed aside because life became busy. Others may still be waiting for us to discover them.

Getting to know yourself does not mean walking away from the people you love or the responsibilities that matter. It simply means remembering that you matter too.

You do not need to have all the answers today. Start by becoming curious about yourself again.

Midweek check-in: Outside of your responsibilities, what makes you feel most like yourself?

If you feel comfortable, share your thoughts in the comments.
